Who is yellowvinyl?
yellowvinyl is the nick I use in a variety of online fora. I sometimes think she has a mind of her own. particularly when she comments on blogs.
Why yellowvinyl?
because I've always wanted to own a yellow vinyl dress.
Whatever. So who are *you* anyway?
Kim. christened Kimberly but don't hold that against me. don't call me Kimberly either.

I believe in truth, justice and the Australian way. more specifically, I'm a kinda libertarian socialist but not of the selling newspapers variety.
What about 'bisexual lesbian-identified'? Isn't that a contradiction?
no. I dislike bisexuality as an identifier because it's often code for "I'm gay but I don't want to come out fully". but on the other hand, I sleep with boys and have had male partners. but I identify with lesbian culture. I'd prefer queer but you'd probably ask silly questions about that, too! identities are fluid, didn't you know?

just. but generationalism is a stupid marketing cliche.
Amputee?
yeah. I lost my left leg above the knee when I was a teenager. cancer.
Femme?
are you having a go at lipstick and dresses?

yes, I'm a girl.
But we still don't know much about you. Where do you live, what do you do?
I live in Brisvegas aka Brisneyland. That's Brisbane, Australia. in a suburb called Bulimba. my father was American and I hold US citizenship. I don't have a partner at the moment. I have an undergrad degree in sociology and gender studies and an MFA. I like reading photography books, anais nin, brisvegas novels, political history, theory. I'm a buddhist. tom waits is a legend, ani difranco and beth orton rock, chill sounds are well, chilled. is that enough?
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us?
